Represented an equity fund in obtaining a $650 million unsecured revolving line of credit based on unencumbered asset pool.
Represented a joint venture between an investment management company and state-sponsored pension fund in connection with a $16 million permanent loan from a life insurance company secured by two industrial assets in Minnesota.
Represented a private equity fund in connection with a $500 million revolving line of credit secured by subscriptions from fund investors.
Worked with a local developer in connection with the acquisition, construction financing and permanent take-out financing of a high rise apartment project in the District of Columbia.
Represented a local developer in closing on participating debt with a national pension advisor secured by a multifamily apartment project in Arlington, Virginia.

Represented a joint venture between an asset management firm and a state-sponsored pension fund in connection with the acquisition of five grocery-anchored shopping centers in Maryland and Virginia with a total value of a $500 million and the subsequent financing of these assets.
Represented a joint venture in connection with the sale of a high-rise apartment project in Arlington, Virginia for $228 million.
Represented a private equity fund in obtaining a $52 million mortgage loan from a life insurance company secured by industrial property in Orlando, Florida.
Represented a joint venture in the refinance of two high-rise apartment projects in the District of Columbia with a $250 million loan from Freddie Mac.
Represented a private equity fund in financing an industrial project in California with a $65.85 million loan from a life insurance company.

Worked with a private equity fund in closing a $107 million renovation loan from a national bank secured by an office building located in El Segundo, California.
Assisted a private equity fund in financing an apartment project in Denver, Colorado with a $52 million loan from a life insurance company.
Represented a joint venture between an investment management company and a state-sponsored pension fund in connection with sale of a $16 million shopping center in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Erica H. Weiss

Erica H. Weiss has more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience, representing institutional clients, including REITs, asset managers, private equity funds and pension fund advisors, as well as regional developers and property owners. Her practice focuses on the acquisition and disposition of office, industrial, retail and multifamily projects across the country, real estate finance and development of real estate projects.

Ms. Weiss concentrates her practice on real estate finance with expertise in a wide variety of transactions, including conventional asset-based financing, multi-state transactions, subscription lines and unsecured asset-based lending. She spent the first 20 years of her practice working predominantly for national banks and life insurance companies. This experience enables her to articulate a lender’s perspective to her borrower clients to assist them in resolving issues in a manner that works for both parties.

Clients seek Erica’s counsel because she gets to know their business operations and the issues that matter to them and she then structures each deal in a manner that works for each particular client and that pragmatically meets that client’s goals. She is known for her efficiency in closing transactions, her ability to develop innovative financing structures, and her ability to coordinate with the client’s asset management, accounting and finance teams, as well as local counsel and third party consultants and vendors, to cause the closing process to work seamlessly from the client’s perspective.
